I haven't taken the NCLEX yet, but I am currently taking the Kaplan review coorifice. LPNs gather data, but cannot analyze/evaluate. LPNs cannot teach. Delegate the most STABLE patient. Delegate if the outcome is predictable. Just a few ideas to get you started!

Most delegations Q's that I see in the Kaplan review are

The nurse knows that which patient/task is most appropriate to delegate to CNA/LPN.

Do NOT Delegate what you can EAT:

E= Evaluate,

A= Assess.

T= Teach

(I got it here!! lol)

Also, don't delegate unstable clients or clients to be admited or discharged.

To LPN's= most stable or standard procedures. (same apply if a nurse if floating in another unit)

Good luck!

Check out the NCLEX Test Plans for both the PN and RN exams. The "Detailed Test Plan" sections will help you the most.

It's hard for people to share their personal NCLEX experiences with you on a popular Internet forum without violating NCLEX test policies.

My I suggest you get the Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment book by Linda LaCharity.............this is a huge part of NCLEX exam....try to complete the first 18 chapters in this book, it will give you a great insight.......good luck

This is an excellent resource. If you have a Nook or Kindle, you can download the book.
