DCCC Nursing Program 2013

Is anyone currently applying for the Nursing Program for next year? I took my TEAS already, and I'm retaking it in two weeks to get a better score before applying. I'm just curious if anyone else is applying. I'm excited!

Do you know the schedule for the bridge class too?

I've applied for a seat in the 2013 class at DCCC. Since I started the process late in the priority phase, I had 1 opportunity to take the TEAS and didn't do my best but well enough. :nailbiting:Hopefully I'll secure a seat. I understand that there were around 130 applicants this year. If two or more people receive the same score, are they both ranked by the TEAS the same and then DCCC will weed out who falls where through sub scores?

yikes! That's a lot of disappointed people. 130 for the regular rn program? or for the advanced lpn-rn? I asked the same question regarding the TEAs since my scores were average and my GPA is a 3.75 A's in all my sciences. I was told they "go about it accordingly". I assume that meant they'd take certain things into comparison. You would think GPA would be the first thing, but I do know they look to see how many prereqs you've finished.

I don't know what the true count for applicants is for 2013; and don't know how that number breaks down into programs. For Chester County there is only 64 seats available. I really don't have a clue, I just want to know if I got in. The waiting is awful!

Hello, we are in the same exact position. The only difference is that I have not yet taken the TEAS but I do plan on taking it after the semester is over. Im currently taking AP2 which is my last Pre-Req. The deadline for everything is April correct? TEAS & testing out of Math for Nurses? Taking Transition would be after being accepted into the program correct?

April is when we (LPNS) find out if we made it into the program. The transition or bridge course starts in May if your accepted. Then we finish out the program with the rest starting in September. As far as the TEAS... I think you have to have them done by October or March. If you wait until April they'd have nothing to go on for you to be accepted.

Someone in my micro class told me people are droping out of the day program like crazy. Her besty is in the day program so I was sort of happy to hear it!

Anyone take the nursing elective prereq? Theres a choice of 4. Suggestions? I was also accepted into Neumann(happy about it-they accept at least 42 transfer credits) but DCCC is my first choice. It's way cheaper and I'd rather get my RN before moving on to my BSN. I just find it more simple. Plus, the options of schools I can go to to get my BSN open up.

Depends on what you consider crazy - in section 1, we're down to 29 (from 31 originally) and had an exam today that was make or break for 4-5 others in the group. Section 2 and 3 have also lost 2 each, and I know at least 2 in both who are on the verge of losing their C average.

Is anyone managing to work full time through the program?

any more people dropped?! sorry to sound excited, but I want this badly. Also, anyone have info on the bridge class???

Has anyone received notification for DCCC 2013?
