20 days and counting....

I am finishing up A&P 2 in 2 weeks. Then, I plan on taking the Fall semester off. I'm hoping I get into the nursing program for January. If I find out in October that I didn't get in, I'll take a fast-track something to boost my GPA.

I have finished all of my Pre-reqs & all of my non-nursing courses (once I finish A&P2). I have a 3.77 on my prereqs (1 B) and so far only 1 B in my non-nursing courses.

Both of the "B's" were classes I took before going back to become an RN. I guess my grades weren't as important as they are to me now. I've made A's in all my classes since I started back in November. (Hoping I can pull off an A in A&P2!)

Its about that time. Fall semester is almost upon us. How do you plan on spending the next couple of week?

Me, I'm working my butt off. I work for Clinique and we just started having our Bonus Time (Gift with purchase) so things are TOTALLY INSANE. Lots of long hours, not to mention its about 90 degrees lately in the store even with the AC on. (I think they may be trying to kill us. )Two more weeks until things get back to normal at our counter.

Other than that I'm buying my books and trying to figure out what supplies that I will need for school. (this is my first time in school since 1992 when I finished HS)

I am hoping to make it to the beach atleast once before school starts up. You wouldn't think that would be a problem since I only live about 7 minutes from it. I've been down to the strip at night a few times this season but haven't actually made it down there in the day time to swim.

I'm starting to get a little worried about how I will balance school, work and my personal life. I have 5 classes this semester. I just keep telling myself that it will all be worth it once I'm a RN. (in 2009, ugg that seems like such a loooooooong time).

So.... what are you guys doing these next couple of weeks?

I too got one B and my GPA is 3.77. My A&P I, sociology and humanities classes will be done in 2 weeks and the fall semester starts. I just have A&P II and Micro to take but you can apply at the beginning of A&P II for the Jan start (if your GPA is above a 3.5). They will let us know whether we made it or not ny October. Will be taking Micro with Nursing 100 (since the school will allow me to do it). This is my second summer without a vacation so they day I get the letter stating that I am in, I am going to hand it :rotfl:

OK, change of plans. I went ahead and registered for a Music Appreciation class that will *hopefully* boost my non-nursing courses GPA up. (If I get an A.) It doesn't start until October 21st. By then, I know if I got in to the January program or not. If not, then I'll take the class. If I do, I won't need it, and I'll drop it before it even starts. lol

Still hanging by a thread over that 3.77 pre-reqs GPA though. I'll try to swing it. I really don't want to take Algebra over again.

Pray, beg, plead, wish, dream....what ever it takes! LOL
