I'm seeing this trend of travel contracts insisting you rotate between days and nights in your short 13 week assignment. I'm curious if anyone has done this and what their experience has been. Would they expect you to rotate each week between 1st and 3rd shift? Perhaps the first 6 weeks on days and last 7 weeks on nights?
I just don't understand how this would work without really torturing your body and messing up your circadian rhythm.
I would also assume if a facility would insist on this then the pay must be exceptionally higher than normal contracts, only to notice the pay is usually average.
I've mostly noticed this in Hawaii, where I'm considering my next assignment. Does anyone have an experience in this rotation schedule, especially in Hawaii?
