Day in the life of . . .

I would like to know what the day of a nurse in a hospital or long term facility is like. What is it you do from the minute you clock in to the minute you clock out? What kind of training have you received as far as lifting techniques goes? Have you sustained any repetitive stress injuries? What would you like done to help you avoid injuries? I have to write a paper on the ergonomics of nursing and I am having a difficult time getting these questions answered. I was supposed to go into a facility to observe, but the places that I have called won't let me in!! HELP!!! :p

Sorry, we're not going to write you paper for you. :)

I don't need someone to write a paper for me, trust me its a whole lot more than this. I just need information for a human factors analysis. I have already done research on this topic, I just need to hear what real nurses have to say rather than just researchers!

Sorry, then good luck to you. I think however a bulletin board is not the place to find out what we do from the minute we clock in until the minute we clock out. That's 12 hours for quite a bit of us and a bit overwhelming to write about in one post.

Again, good luck. :)
