I'm new here! I am from Ontario and a Massage Therapist currently contemplating going back to school. I have been practicing for almost 2 years now and realizing there isn't as much stability in being a RMT as I would like (commission based, no benefits, no pension) things like that. My Mom is a nurse which as me interested in the career.
The one frustrating thing is with my RMT schooling I have completed Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Kinesiology, and Neurology. But the requirements to get into the nursing program is Biology and Chemistry! lol A friend of mine who just finished his first year says my best bet would be doing a Pre-Health course which is one year meaning I have five years a head of me which is a bit of a daunting thing to think about since already being in and out of school. I get excited/ scared at the same time! I'm hoping my previous knowledge in the health subjects helps me throughout my nursing school
I know the end result will be a much brighter/ stable career and I have to keep thinking of that :)
