CVS-NY Application- Question

Hi everybody!!!

I was in the CGFNS site applying for the CVS-NY and when I was filling my information I put the professional education information, e.g. my college information as post-secondary instead of professional education. Since I don't have any post-secundary education i would like to erase that information and then fill the professional education camp. The problem is that the web site don't let me erase the information. I already tried cancel the order and then do everything again but the information is still there... How can I erase this? Anybody knows?? Please help me!!! Tomorrow I will try call to CGFNS, but I think I will not have lucky because every time I try they never pick the phone!!!

You have to submit in writing any changes that need to be done once things have been submitted online.

I called CGFNS this morning and they told me to create another account... So I did that...

Just to clarify this.. Even I filled all the information on-line I need to print the form and mail it to CGFNS, as well as the authorization forms right.

After I proceed the payment and send everything to CGFNS, when I should apply for TOEFL??? They will send me something saying that I can apply??? I am not sure about this...

I personally would print everything off and send via snail mail. Nothing stopping you getting English exams done now and getting them to send results to CGFNS

Ok, I got you... It also said that the application must be notarized, so even if on top of the electronic form say FOR YOUR RECORDS ONLY, I will sign that form notarize it and send it. Just for precaution... Actually, do you think that is more secure pay online through credit card or through check??

Another thing I remembered when I was looking the nursing application packet of NY State of Education is related to the Form 1 - Application for Licensure. Should I send this form to NY State of Education after everything w/ CGFNS be updated or should I send now?

CVS takers approx 6 months so I would not send your NY application for a couple of months. I don't remember getting any of my forms notarized just completed and sent in.

I am not sure, but even in the CVS applicant handbook - http://cgfns.org/files/pdf/apps/2008%20CVS%20Handbook.pdf - if you see the last page, where it say You must sign and date this application in order to be processed, there is a blank for the Signature of Notary and it have a circle that is the place for the official seal/stamp. If you don't mind just take a quick look. Thanks.

In my case, I filled the forms on line, then sent by mail. Then I have got a letter from CGFNS that I need to resend application form notary signed.

Hi!How did you send the forms to cgfns? as registered mail in postal or dhl?

If sending stuff to CGFNS I would say better to post using a recognised carrier like APS, DHL so you have record that your documents have arrived

In my CGFNS application, I only have 2 mos left but all my documents from the licensing authorization and college, as well as the notarized application form, have not yet been received. The problem is US postal service noted that they have delivered the forms to cgfns, yet im still in the stat of "WAITING TO BE RECEIVED". How do i change this? Is it possible that there are only delays in the update of my order?

How long does it usually take for cgfns to send the forms for my college and prc? Im hoping that I can ask these 2 institutions to send my docs to cgfns thru EMS. Is that possible?

And do you think it's possible to ask for an extension of the deadline in cgfns? any plausible excuse i can give?

For CVS CGFNS do all the running around after your docs and usually send everything to the NY BON after 6 months. If 10 months have gone by I would be questioning what was going on with CGFNS. I doubt they will extend but have nothing to lose by asking although not sure what you can say to them. If you know everything has been sent to CGFNS then it may only be a delay in updating your file. Again only way to go forward is check with them
