CVCC 2020 applicants

I’ve got everything ready, just need them to release the new application. This is my last try, I’ll be 42 with 3 kids colleges to pay for in a few years so I can’t keep wasting time. I feel good about this year though. All prerequisites done for 10 points, 5 points for over 12 cvcc credits and 27 ACT points. If 42 points isn’t good enough then I’m going to try maybe radiology or surgical tech at CT or give up altogether.

Hopefully you saw in the application that they updated their point system. Now its 5 points for having the required prerequisites or 5 points for have over 12 credit hours. I just turned in my application last week.

I saw that. I still have 42 points and I pray that’s enough. I could retake the act for next year but not sure I can raise it more than 1, maybe 2 points.

Has anyone heard an update from them? I emailed Heather last week but haven’t gotten a response. I’m so afraid they won’t even begin reviewing until we go back (which I don’t think we will this semester).

I emailed her as well but I haven't heard anything back.

So the admission committee is suppose to be meeting this week and letters should be mailed out by the end of the week.

This is the response I got From Heather on March 24. I’m not banking on hearing anything for a few more months.

Good morning:

Currently, since the Practical Nursing Program will start this Summer, it has the highest priority. The CVCC faculty and staff are working remotely from home at this time. This will make processing the applications more difficult and time consuming. You will be notified of either acceptance or denial when the application processing is complete.

Thank you,

I got this today April 6th. I really hope it's true. This waiting is going to kill me.

Thank you for reaching out to me regarding the nursing applications. Though the school is closed, I have been working to rank applications from home. We are hoping to have the Admissions Committee meeting this week, so I can send out letters by the end of the week.

Thank you,

Heather

I’m going crazy too! I would love to know by the end of the week!

Nope.... I’ve only checked my email about 14 billion times today.... ?

Same. I emailed her again too. No response though.

Nothing. Last year she sent the emails around 7:30pm. I think it was all the acceptances then the denials.
