CT-CCNP 2019/2020 APPLICATION

I'm applying to Capital Community College's program this November. I'm not too confident about my stats and I cannot find a winter AP I class to better my grade. Anyone else applying? Here are my stats...

Teas: 86.7

GPA: 3.27

AP1: B-

@Ash-meg25 Your scores are really good and you have a great chance of getting in! I'm applying to TRCC with an A in A&P 1, 3.7 GPA and a 68 TEAS.

Thank you!! Yours look great as well! Glad I'm not alone with a TEAS score in the high 60s ? I felt really good and relieved about my score at first but the expectations and the pressure is so high. I studied for 5 weeks 7 days a week! It was still really hard. We can only do our best and hope for the best! Lots of luck to you ??

Based on the NVCC course search, it appears that the school accepts 125 students!

Update: I finally submitted my application to NVCC!

Stats:

A&P I: B+
TEAS: 77.3%
GPA: 3.39

I did retake the ATI Teas, but I ended up with one point less than my original score. The issue was, I ended up taking the SAME exact test with the same exact questions from the month before. It psyched me out, but I'm glad I got a decent score! My GPA did go up from an A I received in microbiology!

Good luck to everyone! I really am rooting for you guys ❤️

For thos who don't know there is a formula that the admissions use to calculate your Nursing percentage or rank #

if anyone is interested in calculating thier Nursing percentile this is how

Anatomy 25%

A - 4.0

A- 3.7

B+ - 3.3

B - 3.0

B - 2.7

C+ - 2.3

Let's say your grade is a C+

2.3×25÷4.00= 14.4

Teas 25%

Let's say your grade is a 53.3

53.3×25÷100=13.3

Nursing GPA 50%

Take away A&P 1 from all nursing related classes and prerequisites (A&P 1 stands alone) = all the fuss ?

Let say your gpa then is a 3.88

3.88×50÷4.00= 48.5

Nursing % = 48.5+13.3+14.4=76.2%

72.2% would be your rank #

I think it might be best if you read the Nursing info packet. nursing-info-packet (1).pdf.

Hey Monique! I was going to ask you this question on here, then I realized we just had English together! I'm Melissa, we were the big talkers on the discussion boards, lol. Anyway, thanks to your post I have my total percentage now. I am applying to CCC, but I'm wondering how you got the info on how many are accepted per class. I thought my scores were decent, I have a 93.05%, but after reading this thread I'm not so sure anymore. Do you know how to access previous percentages so we can see how we would stack up? I know they are variable, but still, I'd like to know.

Also, I have read the packet thoroughly, but I didn't see all the info I'm interested in. I got a 90.7 on the TEAS, but I'm already to take it again on the 31st, so I'm going to do my best to improve the score a bit. I got an A for A&P 1, but my nursing GPA is 3.63 so I don't want that to hurt me. Also, that GPA is from like seven different transcripts spread over almost 20 years, and though I'm 99% sure that is correct, hopefully that is what they'll come to also, I did review them with the adviser. Hope we both get in!
