Hi nurses, existing CSUSM ABSN students, new students,
I am applying to CSU San Marcos for Spring 2018! I am so excited. I am finishing up physiology now and taking the TEAS at the end of the month. Nervous but excited. I hope I get in. I need an A in physio and have a 88% right now.

Heyyyyy! Excited I found someone else applying to CSUSM's ABSN for Spring 2018! I recently submitted my application and transcripts. Now impatiently waiting for a decision! Hopefully it won't be too long of a wait.
Yes! I am not be starting until summer 2018 because I think the Temecula campus may be better for me location wise. I have not made that decision completely yet!!! But I am still going to make sure everything is submitted by August 11th for the Spring deadline.

I recently submitted my application for spring 2018 and transcripts about a week ago and am now waiting for further response !
Sounds great! Unfortunately I will probably be doing the summer 2018 class! I'm not sure if my Chem class will transfer over. I may need to take another. I also got my test grade for my recent exam in Physio and I got a C so I know I will end up with an B not an A now. I'll have a better chance of getting into the temecula campus class in summer
You could always check in with csusm and check if the class transfers over? I had to since assist.org wasn't clear with the chem class I took.
Either way goodluck!
Have you guys heard anything else? I am nervous because past years they received their acceptance before this .

My advisor only said that Spring letters would go out sometime in September. So you haven't missed anything.

Hi guys,
I received my evaluation earlier this week and asked the advisor when offers would be going out. She stated she expects offers to be made in "the next week or so."
I wish everyone good luck!
I emailed this past week and asked, and received the same answer! What did you receive on your eval? I got 31 points. I hope that's enough to get admitted.

Do all of you that are applying to Spring 2018 have all of your science prereqs finished? I have one in progress this semester, but was not told that it would disqualify me for my application to the spring cohort. I am confused because I would think that it would prevent them from being able to calculate the pre nursing core GPA without it. Anyone else finishing up a science requirement?
You should check with the advisors. The confusing part of the ABSN application is that while you apply for a specific cohort the application is active fo an entire year. This makes the deadlines and cutoffs a little confusing. I would not think you would be eligible for Spring as a primary enrollee. But because their enrollment is rolling, if you finish your class and get a point total which puts you as a high number in their process, you may get in if someone else declines for Spring.
But all of this is conjecture on my part, and you should really call or email them for clarification.
