CSULB Spring 2020

Hello everyone!

I couldn't find a thread for the upcoming spring admission, so I thought I should start one. Who is applying to CSULB this upcoming semester for spring 2020? I've finished all my pre-requisites. I just need to take TEAS which I am taking in early June. I would love to hear from other applicants and current CSULB nursing students.

Hope to hear back from you all and good luck :)!

Hi everyone,

I entered the party late lol I'm actually applying for Fall 2020. I'm sooo nervous and doubt that I will get a spot because of how excellent yall performance were.

My stats are cum. GPA 3.88, prereq GPA 3.68; my 1st TEAS score is 79.3% so I'll retake it on the 21st. Anyone knows what your cohort's average GPA or TEAS score? I wonder if it is really all 4.0 and 90% TEAS...

Hi!! Currently, they haven’t released the Spring 2020 pool statistics, but they do have the Fall 2019 one up on the CSULB nursing website! They rank applicants by points, and from what I’ve read from earlier posts, the cut-off tends to be in the 9.3’s. Fall tends to be more competitive because it’s like double the number of applicants.

Good luck and I hope you get in next semester!

Hey, has anyone in the trimester program picked up their hospital ID badges? I thought we would get them during orientation, but the news message my clinical instructor posted said there’s a form under “content.” Idk if I am blind and not seeing the link??

Hi. I received an email saying to go to the basement of the hospital to get the badge. Did you check your email?

Is it the same message as the one mentioning where we meet the first week? It said there’s a form and a parking guide, but I don’t know if it’s just not posted or somewhere else. Although, if we don’t actually need any form to get our badges, then nevermind!

I thought we would get our badge on the first day of clinical? I was also looking for the form under "content" but couldn't find it! It's not posted

Do you guys think it depends on who your clinical instructor for when you get your badge? Cus I received an email saying I would get it at orientation next saturday.

Who is your instructor? I didn’t get an email about an orientation and was told to get the badge prior to first day.

My clinical instructor is Ozorio. He poster a message saying we would be meeting on Jan.24 which is a Friday. My actual clinical day is Mondays so I figured Friday the 24th is the orientation. I also received an email from VanOtterloo saying “You will complete this as a group during orientation along with obtaining your LBMMC ID badge”

Hey Everyone, since there was a lot of confusion I decided to email my clinical instructor. He clarified that badges should be picked up at LB Memorial before our orientation, He also said that, all trimester classes have orientation for clinical on Friday, January 24th at 7 AM at Memorial.

Thank you for the clarification!

I just called Pro Wear regarding our uniforms and they said they will be shipping them this week (did not specify when). She said we will have them before classes start, but I told her that we have the white coat ceremony this Friday. She said we should have them before then but did not seem too sure

I just received my uniform yesterday. Maybe it just depends on where you live.
