Oct 1, 20169 yr @n_tony Awesome I'll be there lol and yea that was my game plan because I don't think anyone other than the committee actually knows how it really works so I'm hopping I can just gain those two points and hope it works in my favor lol see you soon!
Oct 1, 20169 yr Hey guys so back to the question someone asked earlier, are you more interested in semester or trimester? I'm curious to where you guys stand on thisI'm tired of summer school as well but I don't have time to waste. I'm hoping to do trimester if I get in.
Oct 5, 20169 yr Thank you for accepting me into Allnurses.com. I am happy to join the group. I have moved on to second phase of the nursing application process. I'm excited and nervous for my interview Oct 12. Many students know their score already. I'm wondering how to calculate my score. Here are my results: Core GPA: 4.0Science GPA: 3.67Teas Score Overall: 88%Reading score: 90% Any tips or advice for the interview? I want to be prepared. Thanks for the help.
Oct 5, 20169 yr Good morning applicants! I received my letter about two weeks ago and I finally found a thread with students I can relate to. I am so thankful to whomever created the thread. I have my appointment on Oct 12 at 11 AM. My stats are Science GPA: 3.76Gen. GPA: 4.0 Overall Teas: 88%Reading Score: 90%I am also a U.S Veteran: 1 pointsi don't know how to calculate my score. I made it to the interview phase, so I am happy. I am so excited and nervous for next week! I hope we all done well.
Oct 5, 20169 yr Hey Christy22!I believe this is how they calculate your rating:Science GPA + GE GPA/2 + (TEAS score in decimal x 2) + (Reading score in decimal x 2)So, your score is 9.23
Oct 5, 20169 yr Hey Palomares, Your rating should be:Science GPA= 3.76Gen GPA: 4.0/2 = 2TEAS= (.88x2)= 1.76TEAS Reading= (.9x2)=1.8Military= 13.76+2+1.76+1.8+1= 10.32 points! This is a very strong rating, way above 9.15 (which is the competitive admission rating). You should have a really great chance of getting in.
Oct 6, 20169 yr I have my nursing interview/ exercise at 11 am. Hope to see you gals/ guys there. Have you heard anything about what to expect?
Oct 6, 20169 yr I know for sure that they are going to make us write something. But I think the communication exercise will not be your orthodox interview where they ask you questions like, "Tell me about yourself" and things of that nature. They may just ask us to explain something. I do not know much about it frankly. And btw, my interview is also at 11:00 am, so see you there!
Oct 7, 20169 yr I am sure we are all excited and anxious about the interview. I'm going to stay positive. 2 years of pre-nursing; this should be a piece of cake. And yet, I will loose sleep until the day comes. SnorlaxRN see you there!
Oct 9, 20169 yr From sessions past supposedly you watch a video and answer questions about it. I don't understand why with so many people having gone through the exercise, no one has said what exactly it is you'd be doing. Maybe they're sworn to secrecy or something.
Oct 9, 20169 yr @thegameisthick lol! I was thinking the exact same thing, I saw in one thread someone said they weren't allowed to talk about it
Is anyone applying? :) I thought I'd start a thread.
