CSULA Fall 2013 NP Program

Anyone applying to CSULA's ANP or FNP program for fall 2013? I need some info regarding these program. Is it possible to be a full time student and work at the same time? How hard is the program? How many students do they admit every year? If anyone has info regarding the program, please let us know. thanks.

I just spoke to the director of the program recently during an advisement and she said it is more intense than anybody ever expects it to be; some students wash out. So during the first year students can't work. After students attain their RN, and pursue their advanced education, the program caters to students who are working as RNs.

However, I also learned that CSULA is increasing the cost to attend beginning fall 2013. The school has "no money." So the powers that be are turning it into an extended education program of sorts and thus the cost will double to about $60,000. That pretty much killed my dream of attending.

@cj_shima,, have u got any interview from csula son yet dear? I haven't heard anything from them until this morning that I got an email that said they will send the status of our applications on 7th, May..

I will not be applying to their program due to the increase in cost for students fall 2014.
