Hey!

So i was wondering what the average accepted GPAs were for the BSN programs at the different CSU campuses... :]

Based on what I've heard from people who've been accepted, and from talking to the advisers at some CSU schools, you need a 3.50 to even be considered for acceptance and a 3.75 if you want a good chance of getting in.

CSU Sacramento, which is one of the more competitive programs in the CSU system, just posted their applicant pool statistics for the fall '09 class. Average GPA of those admitted was 3.91, with a range of 3.691-4.0. Sac State also requires the TEAS test. Admitted applicants scored an average of 92%, with a range of 84.7%-97.1%.

The range of scores among those accepted is the result of several "optional critieria" that are taken into account, such as experience in the medical field or the ability to speak a foreign language.

I don't think most doctors have a GPA that high. The requirements to get into CSU nursing are just incredible...

wow, csu sacramento is really competitive!!

thanks for the info!

CSU sac is pretty competitive but SFSU is pretty competitive too. SFSU has every year 1500+ people applying for at least 80 spots. the average GPA to get in is about a 3.7-4.0 with the majority of 4.0s being rejected. plus there are supplemental criteria that everyone needs to have as well.

if anyone can give info about these CSUs that i'm going to be applying to, that'd be great!

for the spring 2010, it's only fresno state(my #2 choice).

for fall 2010:

sac state

chico state

humboldt state

SF state (my #1 choice)

cal state bakersfield(my #3 choice)

cal state stanislaus

maybe sonoma state, san bernardino, and dominguez hill

any info would be great!
