csn spring or fall program

Hey everyone I was just wondering if people found it harder to get into the spring nursing program? It seems they tend to get more applicants around that time. Would it be safer to apply for the fall program instead?

I would think that Fall would be harder. I imagine that is when all the high school grads would be looking to start, but I could be wrong.

I would apply to the first one you are ready for.....You can always reapply to the next semester if you don't get in. Some schools take a different number of student in either semester. Call the office and ask.

I concur with Robub's statement of this topic.

It's true that fall is when everybody chooses to go back to school right after graduation from high school, but a lot of people still take time off before going to college. Plus, so many people in the nursing programs are 25+ already (at least from what I've seen) no matter what semester you start at, and a lot of them need the degrees to work and/or support a family.

I think they're about the same. Personally, I would choose to start in fall so I could graduate and have the summer off (better weather!) rather than a December graduation, but choose whatever you'd like.
