West Virginia University (WVU) CRNA - 2024 Start

I applied to WVU for the Fall 2024 start, was wondering who else did and when we will hear something back.

Hi!
I applied this year as well. I have a few colleagues people in the program currently and was told they usually send out interviews invites in December and then have the interviews and decisions made in January!

About a year and a half now !

Nice! Tbh I would have applied for school way sooner but wanted to make sure I was at least half way financially decent LOL. Is WVU top choice for you? From what I've been told its a great program and had good board results from the 1st graduating class.

It's definitely up there as a top choice! I wanted to go to UNC but I didn't get an interview there:( my sister lives there so it would've been nice. But I'm gonna be positive and hope for the best with this school. I heard WVU is a good place to go!

Awwwww im sorry. Something else is in the works for you! I am hoping you hear some good news from WVU and same! Its my top choice. I applied to Univ of MD as a back up but was declined. I also applied to U of AZ and just waiting to hear back. I lived in WV for 3 years and loved it there. Especially football and basketball season. WVU is very big in the state. I was so happy when they finally started a CRNA program, considering they have everything else.

I graduated nursing school in 2019 - did med/surg and traveled. started in a level 1 sticu in august of 2022! I applied a few different places - waitlisted at one & still waiting to see if I got interviews elsewhere!

how about you?

I graduated in 2022, work in a MICU/SICU currently. Been there for 1.5 years. I applied a few places, unfortunately did not get an interview at one, but hoping for the best with the others:)

my significant other is a CRNA, "the hardest part is getting in" is what I'm always told!

how long was your orientation? do you have your CCRN? any committees/preceptor?

those are the only things I could think that may be holding you back... our ICU experience is pretty similar (I had 2 months orientation because I have nursing experience so I didn't have to do a whole graduate RN thing).
