hello all,
i did good on my first exam. but, my quiz grades are not as good as i hoped. i think i have a hard time applying critical thinking to the questions. the questions are never straight foreword. does anyone have any tips or ways to exercise my brain to do better on critical thinking in general? i went to one of the profs and it wasnt much help. thanks.

Prioritization. Rember the steps of the nursing process. ADPIE, one step cannot come before the other. Maslow's hierarchy of needs and the ABC's of CPR all need to be thought of in terms of what step comes before the other. Read the question until you are as sure as you can be what the purpose of the question is. What are they trying to test? Read the options thoroughly and if any part of it is incorrect, then throw that option out. When you have narrowed the options down, use the above principles to discern what the answer is.
