Criminal Background Check?

Published

Hi all-

I got fingerprinted for my NCLEX application late in Friday 1/27. I keep checking my state BON portal to see if they have received them, however it still says "not completed." my instructor wanted us to submit proof of our Jurispridence exam, which I have already completed and showed her, but I'm not sure if she needs to see that the CBC has been completed. I have never been arrested, ticketed, charged, convicted, etc other than one speeding ticket which was cleared and doesn't count on the CBC. Does it usually take more than a week to upload the results into the system? Thanks in advance, I am just trying to stay on top of things

Depending on your state, several weeks to process fingerprints is not uncommon. Some states do not have automated systems and many have a backlog of applications due to the recent graduations in December. The only reason your instructor would have to need to see that the CBC is done is because she's policing the students to make sure you completed all the requirements. In that case you can show her the receipt from your finger printing as proof that it was completed.

And since the OP mentioned the jurisprudence exam as one of the requirements, this would lead me to conclude (s)he is in Texas.

I am in Texas! It went through today; thank you for the help! I wanted to make sure that my teacher would see it ASAP so I can check that off my list :wtf:
