Does anyone know anything about the online cpr classes. I need to renew my certification and I am wondering if they are legit.

I had to renew mine last October, and mine was legit...I got my card in the mail within a few weeks, and it actually takes you through the same training you would in a live class, minus the practice dummies lol This is the site: http://www.aedcpr.org/

Another place to find a legit online class is through the American Heart Association.

most places here require AHA only. be careful what's required. I went to an EMT training place alone my last 2 times...in and out 2 hours, no probs

they are legit, i was told by my agency that i could get cert right away on line and even print the card out, i was NOT impressed and waited the 2 weeks for the next class. they are legit but you have to ask yourself will you feel comfortable learning/re-learning from a screen? i wouldnt, i need to be hands on
I feel you!! I did it out of desperation! I needed mine renewed fast, or I couldn't finish my clinicals that semester. It was so much going on, and I completely forgot that mine was expiring, so that was the only alternative for my situation. I have mine in my wallet near my license and stuff, so I see it everytime I go in there, so there is no excuse for next time. This way, I have the expiration date in my head, so I know when I start looking for live classes early enough.
