When you're at clinicals and assigned a pt are you able to take any resources with you to help you on care plans or do you have to know the nursing diagnoses, outcomes, and interventions?

You will take a nursing diagnosis book with you for use during the patient care scenarios.

and you can carry a basic calculator too (my battery died after my first one, but did not need it anyway, plus they had one I could use).

Also, nothing except your name can be written in the nursing diagnosis book. You can highlight/book mark things, but no information written in them (they look at the book before you start).

What kind of nursing diagnosis book do they allow?

I'm hoping to start fcca in March. And going to do both in 8wks. Are the assignments due weekly?

they only allow Mosby's Guide to Nursing Diagnosis.

When I did it they allowed the 2nd or 3rd edition, but it may now be the 3rd or 4th only.
