ok- i got my email for fcca....

grap my doctor in the hospital hallways this morning had him sign the form, so i have all my paperwork ready i am so scared.... i really don't know what to expect, i read some journals and i think to myself i can do this, then it hit me in a few weeks i might be heading somewhere to test and i must pass the first time.

is anyone on the cpne "club" feeling the same way, i've had this headache all week that won't go away can't eat, can't sleep so stress.... keep on telling myself "call light within reach, don't forget"

I told you Z would sign your form. I did the same thing to him a couple months ago, LOL.

When you come over later we will talk. I felt the same way at first and sometimes I still do but not as much now that I have read the study guide and really started studying. I have Rob's video pretty much memorized and when I am at work, I do exactly as he says. I put my hands on the side rails and say "side rails are up", I touch the call bell and say "here is your call bell", I push the button to lower the bed and I put my foot on brake and say "what else can I do for you?". I have been doing it Rob's way for a few weeks and it's really sticking. Even though we have the cows and the scanners I still take my paper Kardex and compare the arm bands. Maybe ask if you can shadow on the floor one day, I think you might feel better about it, all the bosses there know you and that you know your stuff and I'm sure it would be OK :-) Right now what I am doing is re-reading the studying guide and writing down more questions that I have or things I don't understand. The more you practice and read and memorize, the better. My garage is always open :-)

Good luck WestPalm.

My FCCA will be here on the 28th.

My CPNE app was accepted June 10th but since I only put I could test at the 2 sites in Atlanta it's going to be a while before I get a date.

Hey Beachnurse can you post a link to Rob's videos? Aren't you doing Sheri's online workshop also?

I was feeling the same way at first but once I started using Robs DVDs and doing Sheris online workshop things have really been coming together! I practice every night in my "lab" down stairs in my basement and have been doing them Robs way. Sheris online workshop is amazing!! Once you start studying it comes together. We can do this!! We are all almost GN's!!!!!

thanks guys for the encouragements... i have been reading the journals and some of the questions posted on epn....

al- call me when you are here,

i am looking for kit for sale if anyone know anybody that's selling one....

dont worry about the fcca- read my older posts or ask anjule/beach and you will so i was freaked out about it!! just do your best. dont read too much into it and send it in! you will pass.... id bet on it(and i dont gamble!).

i am in the same boat as you for the cpne. i have to be done and graduated by december for my work or ill owe them the money they loaned me and not to mention if i dont ill have to shell out from somewhere another two grand for the test, one grand for the hotel/flight, and be in the red with my hubby!! its sooo stressful and i have become a total b***h at home. i hate that i have too!! i guess at least i know it, but with full time work, cpne coming august 26, 2 small kids (9 & 2 yrs) and family demanding we go to see them (out of town for the weekend) i am about to just lose it!! (this is where we need a face for pulling your hair out!lol)

glad im not the only one going off the deep end here..... or am i???

Thank you dslpninla. I have heard good things about her online workshop. I think as soon as I'm done with the FCCA in a few days I will sign up for hers. =)

http://www.robscpne.com is where the videos can be purchased but he sells on Ebay too. I saw a student on the EPN not too long ago selling his Rob's DVDs, not sure they are still available, I think his name was John.

I am doing Sheri's online workshop. I have barely scratched the surface there I think, there are a ton of videos and she answers your questions right away. She gives alot of good ped's tips and care planning is good too.
