CPNE current wait time.....

Hi! I sent my application of Oct 23, they signed for it Oct 25. I will be going to Atlanta or Savannah......which ever they can get me into.

Does anyone know the current wait time? I heard it is like 6 months.

I will be testing College Writing next month (Dec) So I would like to focus on that for now. I will start studying completely for the CPNE in Jan. That would give me about 3-4 months.

I would have been doen by now, but major issues came up. So I am off my "planned" finishing time by about 4-6 months. I am still ahead of my friends who decided to go to traditional school. They just finished their pre-reqs and will start the nursing part in Jan!! My first exam was Jan 05. (my friends started course same month) I needed everything, I had no prior credits.

Anyone take college writing here? How was it??

Thanks for your replies in advanced.

Melody

Is the wait time posted on the EPN? They used to update it every once in a while on the CPNE Scheduling discussion thread.

Wow Melody! I'm impressed with your progress. EC received my application Sept 23 and I got my test date 2 weeks ago----so it is taking them about 4-6 weeks to schedule. I requested a date after Mar 1. When I looked at the test date postings, I could have gotten something in Feb. My test dates are Mar 23, 24, 25. Alot depends on where you are testing.

If you call the RPAC (regional performance assessment Center) directly you can get an estimate on how far out they are scheduling. I live on the west coast and decided to test in NY (Northern PAC) because the wait was 3 months shorter. Even though the 3000 miles added to the stress of my CPNE it was worth it.

The RPACs are listed somewhere (sorry, I know not very helpful) on the EC website.

Hi Melody,

I applied in mid Oct. I got a postcard stating there was a 4-6 wk. wait to get a date and they were running 4-6 wks. for testing. No date yet.

I too am taking College Writing but hope it won't be that extensive of an exam.

For fastest scheduling, it seems to depend on where you're testing and how much time you need from getting a date and your presence at the site for testing.

good luck.
