CPEN

Hi everyone! I'm looking for some advice on taking the CPEN Exam. I've been a nurse for 2 years and have worked in a pediatric emergency room the last year. I just passed the ENPC course and am considering taking the CPEN while the knowledge is still fresh. Has anyone recently taken the exam or does anyone have any tips or favorite study material recs they can share? Thanks so much!

I haven't taken it recently, but I took it in 2010. I used study materials from ENPC, PALS, and Scott DeBoer's CPEN review book. You should take it! Does your ED give a raise or bonus for board certs?

Good luck!

Unfortunately they do not, but I'm going to take it anyway. Thanks for the advice!

I obtained my CPEN certification last year. Scott DeBoer's book is great; I read it cover to cover and was very engaged. I also watched some of his lectures on YouTube.
