If there is a contact name listed, write to that person. If not, I write "To Whom It May Concern" though there are some out there who tell you not to do that.

I was always told to direct it to theanager responsible for hiring. When I didn't know who it was, I would write "Dear Hiring manager". If I knew the floor/unit it was on, I would do "Dear __floor/unit__ manager."

I've always heard/read not to do "To Whom It May Concern."

If you want a specific name, you can always try to contact HR of the facility, tell them your interest in the position & ask if you can have the hiring manager and/or floor managers name so you can write a cover letter.

I've been told that if you don't have a specific name you should address the letter "Dear nurse recruiter,".
