So I've recently completed my second year as a pre-nursing student.
I will be taking a lot of the core pre-reqs next fall but my question is regarding entrance exams.
My question is:
I've got a year and semester of pre reqs to do, when should be the best time to start studying for the entrance exams, now while I've got some free time over the summer, and some time in between the school year, or after when I've completed all pre-reqs and ready to apply at programs?
two: Are all entrance exams different? Or is there one universal exam all schools use?
And if so, what are some books you would recommend, I look up that will help me when it comes to taking that entrance exam?
And any useful advice is also greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

The entrance exam I took was basic knowledge. It cover algebra, grammar, reading comprehension, biology, microbiology and chemistry. There was no real studying for it. Just learn as much as you can in your core classes and you should pass. The more you learn in your prereqs, less you have to go back and learn in the program. Our classes didn't take the time to review the A&P with each unit.

My school went from an entrance exam to gpa based and I think now its interview based + GPA. What entrance exam do you have to take?

I did not have to take an entrance exam to get into my program. Check with your school to see if your school has entrance exams first before studying for one and ending up not having to take one.
Well I know theres one for my jc, but idk If I wanna apply there cause its a new program, and their only taking people with a 4.0.
Seriously, so I'm going to be applying everywhere, all the jc's and some universities thats why I'm wondering if there are any like universal entrance exams that all schools use, or does each school have their own exam. But thank you!

At the college I'm going to we had to take the NET. It was just basic knowledge. Math, reading comprehension, Critical thinking, written expression, basic science and then stuff to tell you about what stresses you out most so you can fix it.

My program didnt have an entrance exam.
I think your best bet is to call the nursing department of the schools that you plan on applying to and ask if there is one and what they will be testing you on.

Thank you, I think I'm going to do that actually. Cause seeing how varied it is on places that take tests.
