Cost of ISU

Does anyone have an idea of approximate cost of the lpn-bsn program with Indiana State? With getting outside pre-reqs or doing the entire program with ISU.I couldn't find current info on it and don't want to go through the whole process of calling them just yet because then I start getting bombarded by the College Network and I am not using their materials ugggh! ANy info would be great!!.

Hi there, here is a link for ISU 2015 tuition. Unless you are in Indiana, look at the out-of state tuition per credit unit. Here is the link Tuition and Fees | Indiana State University

Here is the courses for the LPN-BSN program. Not including any pre-reqs or the 4 CM tests prior to entering in the ISU nursing program, the nursing courses listed are a total of 41 credit units.

In the program, you typically take two courses per semester including summer semester. There are some additional fees (if I remember correctly it was between $200-$300) associated with each clinical courses. Program: Nursing Major - Baccalaureate Track for Students Entering with L.P.N./L.V.N. Licensure - Indiana State University - Acalog ACMSâ„¢

I finished the program in a little under three years to obtain my RN BSN from ISU. Hope this helps.

Hi Soon-Surgery. I am interested in Indiana State Univ. with their lpn - bsn program also . Did you do it with The College Network, like they are recommending? How was your experience with the whole program?

Hi pnstdnt10, I did not do the college network. I bought the binders on e-bay for approximately $25-$35, which were the same binders that College Network were selling. My experience with ISU LPN-BSN was a very positive one. I finished my BSN in a little less than 3 years and sat for the NCLEX shortly after. Depending on what state you are in, the clinical location is probably the biggest hurdle just based on finding a preceptor, etc; but it was not overly difficult. It is a great program for the working LPN. I worked full-time and was able to graduate with almost straight A's. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me. I would be happy to discuss any other questions that you may have. Good luck!
