Correctional Facility Registered Nurse, CA

Greetings!

I would like to apply for Correctional Facility as an RN in California. I have applied for the state before and they have a standard application that you fill out and send.

However, this route has something different. It asks you to do everything online including a TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE ASSESSMENT online.

I was wondering if anyone is familiar with this process and if I can be enlightened on the process, the assessment and questions/tests. Should I study some NCLEX test questions first? Is this a one-time sit down test? Is it easy? Anything that I can prepare myself to at least score well.

Thank you!

Its called an assessment but it really just asks you about your experience...no need to study. There may be a written test later in the process but that isn't it.

I work as a forensic RN for the State of CA.. Didnt have that way back in 09 when i applied.. No need to worry

Thanks for the comment...

May I ask what the written test may be about?

For me, there was no written test.. Its mainly a panel interview with standardized questions and everything is recorded. Good luck! :)
