Correctional Center Pay

Published

I am currently an LPN working in a pediatrician office in North Carolina making 12.68/hr. It has been my dream for a few years to move to Savannah, Georgia. I have gotten two calls from this area. One I have a phone interview Thursday because I am six hours away. This is for Memorial Hospital. I also got a call yesterday from Chatham County Correctional Center which is staffed by Corizon to set up a job interview. Actually I got the call less than two hours when I put my application in. I have been searching and can't find anything about an average pay for an correctional center LPN. I know Corizon does give you 5 weeks paid vacation a year. This is for a full time job. Actually both jobs for Savannah are full time. I am currently part-time at my present job with no benefits. I graduated back in May.

Specializes in Emergency Nursing.

I am very interested to hear what became of your two job applications. I left Corizon for a highly coveted ER LPN position. Both positions were 36 hours / week and both paid approximately $14.50 in the Indianapolis area.

What are you doing and making now?

LVN Corrections Nursing in CA pays

$26-32/hr (for registry staffing depending on registry)

On staff is $22-24/hr

KS Correctional LPN's average $20-25/hr.
