I need some advice. I'm interviewing for a position in a private practice, and really don't know what to ask for regarding a productivity bonus. I've never had one before, so I don't know where to start. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Ask for the bonus to be based on the billings not the collections.
Good Idea! What is a fair percentage to ask?

Ask for a salary that will meet your needs plus a bonus as a percentage revenue over salary. If you're not seeing self pay, collections won't be a big issue. If you are, get an office visit payment from them before being seen. You're making money off of your cognitive abilities so don't think without getting paid, and don't do anything it doesn't take your credentials specifically to accomplish.

That's exactly what I asked for and what I got! Thanks to all for their input.
