Hello nurses,

I want to work at home. I thought of being a consultants. I thought of billing and coding consultant or legal nurse consultant. I'm looking for the one that pays more and has flexible hours. Any suggestions? How long is the schooling?

To get a consultant position, one generally needs to be considered an expert in the field. The top educational credential, and lengthy years of experience.

In my case, it required an MSN and 15 years of experience.

Specializes in Critical Care; Cardiac; Professional Development.

What qualifies you to consult with others regarding billing, coding or legalities? You will need an advanced education with the experience to back it up so....what degree do you hold and what are you exceptionally experienced at?
