Hi everybody,
I'm new to this so I hope I am posting in the right place . I am just so confused on what to do about school. I have taken all of my pre-reqs except a CNA course to apply to a nursing program. I feel that when I call to speak to ppl in the nursing dept of the school (UNCW in Wilmington, NC) that I get tranferred a billion times and never get any answers. I just want to know the right path to take to start my career. Can I take my CNA's elsewhere? Do I have to have those to get my RN's? I just feel like everything I read tells me a different story. HELPPP!!!! Please and thank you :)

I would recommend going in and actually talking to someone at your school...all schools are different, so here is not the best place to find the help you need. At my school, it was required to either A) take the CNA class, or B) pass a "skills check-off" (for those already familiar with it). I would imagine that you could take the CNA class wherever, but again, you need to check with your particular school.
Since they keep transferring you and telling you different things, going in and talking face to face might be your best option.

I agree with yooper13. When I couldn't get ahold of anyone in the nursing office, I would just go there in person and talk to someone - much more successful that way.
