*confused* ASU or MCCCD?

Published

Im sure a similar thread like this is buried deep in this site. I am so happy I found this because the weekend just started and it is a LONG one so I have to wait til Tuesday before I can talk to any schools...

Currently I am a stay at home mom, I have been for 5 years. I dont have a lot of college courses under my belt. I took some online courses thru RIO but nothing that I wouldnt mind retaking. (I am a horrible visual learner)

Just wondering... BSN or ASN??? so...ASU or MCCCD?

Im so confused because I read somewhere that by 2020 they wont hire ASN nurses anymore...is this true?

In that case it will probably be better to go to ASU then...2yrs prereqs 4yrs Nursing programs...6yrs from now will be 2019 and I may not start until Jan 2014 so then I wont graduate until 2020.

Even with ASN...2yrs Prereq...2yrs waitlist...2yrs Nursing program...

:wideyed:

Im nervous about the schedule and how much it will interfere with my mans job (we only have one car)

Does anyone know if the textbooks are available on the Kindle Fire? or if it is even worth it to have eTextbooks?

Im sorry I rambled... I am a bit over whelmed with trying to think of everything!

Any and all advice comments tips and all around helpfulness is appreciated.

You would probably get better response if you posted this in the Arizona State Nursing Programs forum.

Why don't you try doing the CEP program through MCCCD? You will end up with your BSN. They even have part time and hybrid programs that might work better with your schedule. You will go concurrently through the maricopa college of your choice and then nau or asu whatever you prefer. You can find more info on it through the threads or maricopas website
