just got a little confuse on the process of taking the nclex, do I need to get cgfns before i should take the nclex?or passing the cgfns is enough to qualify to work in new jersey?

There are some States that requires this certificate, while others just need the nclex.. but regardless of whether you need to take up cgfns or not, you will still definitely need to take the nclex in order for you to become an RN in the US :)

Apr 13, 2009 Moved to the International forumYou are applying for license to be a RN in the US not NCLEX. NCLEX is just a part of that process.Starting point is the NJ BON website and what their requirements are for foreign trained nurse. Once you meet the requirements they will give you eligibility to sit NCLEX Only do the CGFNS exam if it is required. You may however need CES from CGFNS as they do offer a few different services. Also suggest you read up on retrogression as you will more than likely be affected

Apr 14, 2009 You need to complete the CES as set out by the CGFNS website, there will be forms in the application that needs to be completed by your school and sealed. Once you think things are moving with your CGFNS application then submit your application to Il and they will give eligibility once they received CES and decide you meet their requirements. On average CES takes 4 months as long as documents are sent in a timely manner

I would wait until you know things are moving smoothly with your CES application. On average it takes 4 months to get CES report you could send application to Il just before your 4 months are up
