Is there a question or story to go along with the title?
Yes, unfortunately there is a story to go along with the conflict resolution question.. Some members of our surgical dept. have been feuding for some years now. The atmosphere between some of them is toxic.
They have had "interventions" that have not been successful. It is coming to a head, there is a position open for a new manager, and I am hopeful that this will help the group.
What I am looking for is some good articles if any of you can suggest, so that I can remain neutral and help out if I can.
If I recall correctly, the AORN Journal had an article about lateral violence in it not too long ago. I'm sure you can find several of articles in any number of nursing journals under "horizontal violence" or "lateral violence." My OR does mandatory education on lateral violence every year.
Here's one of the articles from AORN:

If the link doesn't work, go to http://www.aornjournal.org and search under "lateral violence"- I got 20 articles back.
Here's one I found searching for conflict resolution:

Thanks, those are interesting articles.:lvan:
