Concordia's RN to BSN Program

Hi, I was wondering if anyone out there has done Concordia's RN to BSN program that could shed some light? I know that since they were accredited their tuition jumped from $250 to $400 something, which is fine. Is it manageable with a family and a job? What is the course load like?

I'm currently in a mane program that continues on with Metro State, but have not heard many great things about Metro's program - ie. it being extremely difficult for no good reason. I will be graduating in December with my ADN. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently in the RN to BSN program through Concordia. I will complete my nursing courses in February 2018. I found the program easier than what my friends experienced at Mankato, Metro State, and Bemidji. There are no tests which is nice. There is a discussion board due every Wednesday and an assignment due on Saturday. The assignments were not too bad and it was a good family/ work life balance (I have 2 kids and work 24-32 hrs/wk). The instructors were understanding and helpful. It was nice to have one class every 7 weeks instead of taking more than one at a time. If I had to do it over, I would choose Concordia again.

Thank you for your reply. How long have you been at Concordia - they say their program is 18 months, but I've heard that it's taken some people much longer? Also, do they build in the public health nursing cert in their program? Also, did you have to take many extra courses besides the core nursing courses? I am also a parent who will need to have a balanced work/school/home life so this was very helpful. Thank you.

Did you end up going to Concordia? I am contemplating doing the program it sounds good. Just wondering if someone can shed some light on the details of the program and how it is?
