Hi everyone,
I'm taking a CIS class for my tech. elective. This class goes over how to use Microsoft word, Microsoft access, excel, PowerPoint, and outlook. We will be doing things like making spreadsheets, resumes, etc.
I'm just a little concerned that I'll be able to pull this off since the class isn't being offered on campus. I have a MacBook Pro, and I have office 2011 for home and student, this class is specifically for Office professional 2013. As a way to get around this, I am borrowing my sister's Dell computer and downloading Office 365 which will cost me $70.00 as opposed to the $300+ it would cost to buy office professional.
Office 365 has all of the things I will need (access, word, excel, PowerPoint, and outlook).
So, just throwing it out there. Do you think I can pull off simple tasks using this program? Or am I out of luck?
Thanks in advance.

You can try calling Microsoft from the number below for downloaded software refund.
Call Microsoft Store at 1-877-MY-MSSTORE (1-877-696-7786) to request a return.
Then use this link to get office 2013 for $9.95 through Microsoft's home use program. enter a school email for discount.
Microsoft Home Use Program - Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013. The software suite includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, Access and more!
Don't delete the install file because you can not reinstall without it unlike the retail version.
If you can not, or choose not to get a refund, $70 is much better than the $300.
I have a mac air. I recommend you use the Dell for this class. The online quizzes/tests require windows shortcuts, and trying this using the mac is a pain.
Secondly, yes, that is all you need. Also make sure you keep up with the assignments, being an online class.
