Computer Documentation?

Just wondering how many of you guys are doing computer documentation in your OR? If so, how long?

We are just starting to implement it.....

We've been doing computerized documentation for 2 years.

It took about 3 months for it to sail w/o problems, though.

We've been online for about a year. We use a really terrible program, but I still think it's better than paper. The rest of the nursing units in the hospital just went online about 2 months ago. Their system doesn't dovetail very well with the OR system. Nor does our inventory program. WHO the heck makes these decisions????

At my last job we were online since about 1990. It was a teaching hospital and our in-house programmers wrote our program, so it was easy to submit changes to make the program better fit our needs.

It IS a huge change for everyone, but it's long past time for our industry to join the rest of civilization, huh?
