Compression hose/socks

I LOVE compression socks (knee-high)!! I use the mid "strength" compression...my legs/feet feel SOOOOOOOO much better when I wear them. I have never tried the full length ones, but nurses that I work with swear by them. Probably the best way to find out what you like is to grab a pair and try them. An expensive way to do it, but that's how I figured it out. Good luck.

Okay. I have tried them all. Here's my humble opinion. My skills instructor swore up and down we must wear the full length pantyhose type. As an individual that detests pantyhose in general, I decided to give them the ol college try. I hated them, I couldn't move. If I dropped something, forget it. Also not a big fan of butt sweat (humid Florida) I took them off half way through my shift and said, never again. I decided thigh highs are better than nothing, so I gave them a go. They rolled down my legs, and ended up in the trash. So, finally $80 later, I tried the kneehighs, and I love them. I get the high level of compression and I can defiinately tell a difference! I think to each his own and it depends on the person as to what they are able to stand. Seems most people on my floor like the knee-highs.

I recently started wearing some knee high compression socks, and they really do make a difference. I got some of the Nursemates ones that are 11mmHg, and they are very comfortable - I had some with higher levels of compression before and they were a bit much for me.

I would try an affordable pair (the 11mm ones I have were less than $10 a pair) and see if they suit you...if you find you like them, you can always shell out more for higher quality or more compression!

i wear knee high compression stockings . i buy them from bright life direct, i wear the allergo knee high and they even have the glue to stick them up with lol... !!

It can be really overwhelming when choosing for the right compression stockings. Also you have to make sure that the stockings that you get are the right size, because if it is too small it will apply way too much external pressure making your legs feel even more tired. and if the stockings are too big it will just not provide the compression you need.

Also make sure that the stockings that you are getting are graduated compression. because there are some that labels itself as compression stockings but they are just common stockings that provide uniform compression. The difference is that graduated compression applies 100% of the indicated compression on your ankle and gradually decreased compression as it goes upward. This is good because it simulates better the natural flow of the veins. This makes your legs feel more relaxed.
