completed my first year

I just completed my first year traveling. Spent most of the time in California making some pretty decent money. I've met some very good people and I've had some really good experiences. I'm in Fresno at the moment at the community Regional Hospital they are very busy here. They do almost 9,000 deliveries a year. As you can tell I'm in labor and delivery. I'm looking forward to going to Hawaii next year and maybe St Thomas. Time to branch out!

Hello there!

My first assignment will be in Sacramento CA at Methodist. I am an ER nurse and wanted to go to Fresno to Community Regional, but they were looking for someone RIGHT now and I wanted to start the 3rd week of May. I have a start date of May 19 and it's an 8 week contract to see if I really want to do this. I'm excited and scared at the same time! Any advice for a first time traveler?

I just completed my first l&d contract at Community Regional. Just extended my contact for 13 more weeks only after 3 weeks into it to be canceled. They also let a lot of ER nurses go as well. So I'm a little bitter. All you do is you best. Make sure you chart everything and always keep your recruiter informed when something or someone into right. Community regional is tough. Very busy.

When you say let ER nurses "go", do you mean their contracts were canceled, or their census were too low to accommodate the amount of travelers they hired?
