Hi, I am doing an assignment but can't figure out what is the ragne of pressure for compartment syndrome in kids?

Also, what other condition has similar symptoms as compartment syndrome?

Thanks

Hi!

We are happy to help but we ask that all students post what they think first.

That sounds like a Google question but it's also essentially meaningless.

It's not so much about the absolute compartment pressure as it is about the effects of same. I haven't the foggiest notion of what what the pressures read although I've encountered it a number of times and have assisted with an emergent fasciotomy.

For your homework, find the number that they're looking for but then make sure that you understanding exactly what's happening in compartment syndrome, how to assess for it without measuring the pressure (which I've only seen done once), and what to do about it... and recognizing the emergent nature of true compartment syndrome.
