Compact vs. Non Compact

I Live in Louisiana and went to school in Texas. I passed my Boards and on my information it says lives in Louisiana and not a compact license. Am I still able to work in Texas, or does that mean my license has to be transferred no matter what? When i looked in Nursys it doesn't find me but on Texas BON it has me there as a LVN.

    If you live in Louisiana but are licensed in Texas then you have a single state license in Texas. As such, you are able to work only in the state of Texas with that license. If you relocate to Texas and change your residency to Texas, then your license would become a multi-state license.
