compact license

What is the status of obtaining a compact license? I live in Texas

    I'm in Texas. After I renewed my license after the first year it was automatically a compact license. Look up your license on the BON website and it'll say compact license: yes/no. I can't remember which states are part of our compact.

    If you have a Texas address on file with the BON, it should be a compact license. If you used an out of state address, it will not be able to be used outside of Texas.

    While I don't have a Texas license, the way it works in many states, at least the ones that still issue a paper license, is that they may just mark single state licenses as such rather than multistate labels of some sort.
