Columbus Tech ADN program Fall 2012

Hello everyone. I started this thread with the hopes of having a place for those who are planning to apply for Columbus Tech's ADN or LPN programs? Applications are due March 1st for ADN and February 1st for LPN. I wish you all the best of luck..

Well I plan to apply to both ADN and LPN programs and maybe Surgical Tech. I have all my pre-reqs 2 A'S , 2 B'S, 1 C. And yes I am concerned about the C. But I'm still going to apply and hope for the best. I also plan to try and score extremely high on the NLN, so maybe the C won't be too much of a concern. My compass scores are decent, but I may try to get them higher.

Good luck to us all. Feel free to leave your thoughts..

The post about the girl from atl (if we read the same post) seems to be entering the lpn program
Kingsqueen, did you apply for one of the programs?

Phew.. Glad to know I'm not the only one who hasn't heard. At my interview I was told that letters would go out on the 7th regardless of the program applied for, but evidently that wasn't the case, good luck to all, and hopefully we won't have long to wait!

Well I have a friend from Columbus who got a phone call about the Lpn program and she got in so I don't know about that program

One of the advisors is really good friends with my mom an she said Lpn on the 7 and probably RN mid may

I know. Your thoughtfulness is appreciated. I think everyone is just really anxious. I know I am.

Good and I know I am ready to just know. I'm nervous bc my gpa is just 3.3

It's nervewrecking. Between. The gpa, NLN scores, compass scores, and the interview, no one knows what is weighted more.

The secretary that is processing all the applicants said that RN will take longer and not to expect anything before mid May because she is doing everything on her own. I am REALLY hoping they are here this week as I have no idea what they weight more and my GPA is only a 3.6 in the required classes. I have my hopes set on knowing by Friday but who knows and she said she will flip if we call and ask so I am trying to wait patiently!

I applied to the LPN program and got a phone call last Weds saying I was in and then I got a letter on Friday..hope this helps. This is probably because our program starts next week and the RN doesnt start until the end of August. We LPNs only had a week notice to our jobs and all, so the RN students should be patient you have well over 2 months before your program even starts.

Also, the packet I got in the mail had a change of major form( and 5 other forms) in it that the program manager signed and the date on it was May 1st. So Im guessing they already made the decisions a while ago but were probably just waiting on final grades.

Does anyone know what the schedule is going to be like for the LPN program or know anything about our uniforms and supplies?
