Columbia Master's Programs - - how hard to get in?

I don't believe that Columbia has an RN to MSN bridge. In order to apply to Columbia's Master's program you have to have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school.

I see threads about Columbia's ETP, but not too much on their Master's Programs.

I have an AAS in Nursing and a BS in Business. Looking to attend Columbia for my Master's (NP). Can anyone give me any insight on how competitive it is to get in, how hard it is to get in, etc.

Any details are greatly appreciated. TIA!

Columbia offers a combined BS/MS ETP program for persons whom hold a non-nursing four year degree.

They also offer various masters programs for BSN grad nurses, but no undergrad BSN only or RN to BSN.

Best thing to do is contact Columbia directly or better yet attend one of the numerous open house or walk in dates. In your situation with previous nursing credits you'll of course want to find out if you can challenge or otherwise will be granted credit for previous course work.

As for getting in, as one understands as with all other things relating to Columbia, yes it is very competitive and difficult to gain admission. However IIRC some specialties are less crowded (in demand) than others.
