College of the Sequoias ADN Fall 2020

Anyone else applying here? Deadline is February 1st. I like how they allow you to retake the TEAS. I scored a 72% which is pretty low so I’m aiming for a better score on my second try.

Hi,

I 72 is good start, I scored 81 but I prob. should retake it as well. Did you attend a info session for the RN program? Do you know how students are chosen? Is it a lottery? or is based off of highest scoring? Any info would be great as I can't find anything on the school site and the info powerpoint does not state any of that as well.

COS goes by a point system. They choose the highest scoring. It looked like people who had 70+ points were accepted into this program based off previous threads.

Ok, thank you for that. Do you know if they have an articulation lists of schools for comparable prerequisite courses? Or do we just submit our transcripts in and they will assess it themselves?

I'm not sure about the list but I know when you send your transcripts in they will assess it themselves.

Ok, thank you so much for all the info. Good luck to you, hope we get in.

Hi all!

I’m working on my application for the program. I’m applying with around 77 points. I don’t know if my chances of getting in the program look good or not.

How many points are all you applying with?

Hey! I currently have 62 points right now but I'm going to retake the TEAS. If I get around 82-90 on my second attempt on my TEAS then I'll be around the 70-80 range. Looking at past threads for COS most people with 70+ got in so I think you should be fine!

When are you planning on retaking your teas?
This program is my first choice so I’m hoping my score is competitive enough to get in the program.
Do you know how many students are admitted into the program?

Hey Everyone!

I'm applying with 70.1 points for Fall 2020, but I'm considering retaking the TEAS exam since I scored lower than I anticipated. Hopefully retaking it helps gives me a few more points and increase my chances of acceptance.

Anyone know when and how they contact us if we are accepted or denied?

I was told that they would email us to confirm receipt of the application but I didn't ask about that either.

COS will mail you an acceptance letter or denial letter. Curious to know how many points you all are applying with. I have calculated my score and I will be applying with 64.8 pts. I am not getting my hopes up but I do have my fingers and toes crossed! Lol. Good luck everyone! PS, I heard usually 70 is guaranteed.
