I think key is remembering not to put the same doctors patients in the same room. That just really flips our docs out.

Next we just try not to put anyone with something considered possibly contagious with a new surgical or other medical patient. If they have infection we try as hard as we can NOT to put them with a roomate. Of course sometimes it cant be avoided so i guess the best practice is making sure the one there first has been on their antibiotic for a couple doses anyway. There really isnt any good way to do it.

Also, I'd like to find out if two clients with a cervical-uterine radiation implant can be placed in one private room if there are no more rooms available? I know that it may sound like a stupid question but I just wanted to find out the answer anyway.

I wouldnt think so. If its a private room its a private room. Noone should be doubling up rooms unless absolutely necissary. Still i wouldnt think doubling radiation patients like that would be good. They both have individualized doses of radiation implants and it would also double the risk to staff taking care of the patients. JMO,, maybe someone working on a onc floor could answer better.
