COC Fall 2012

So, I just called over to Olive View, and they are FULL for the 5/8 class! My husband said we would be able to make it work for that day...plus it's FREE! Oh well, I put myself on the stand-by list. But, I can't depend on that since we need to get our stuff in and just need to get it done. If they don't call me with a slot there, I will have to take the class somewhere else and pay... Thanks for the info though, KMadrid! Did you get into the 5/8 class?? Oh, and congrats, @1984! Free living is good living!

Yesssss free living is def good living. home cooked meals and laundry done!! and it is a 3 day a week program! Good luck to you alll!!!!

@nurseoftheworld yes i got in for the 5/8 class, i posted the info as soon as i found out. @1984 Wow! That is awesome u get to live free and only go 3days a week u can't beat that :) were gonna need all the luck we can get, because im going to have to travel 45min back and forth 5 days a week! O well, i got to do what i have too and it will payoff in the end.

Yeah, I live in Lancaster too! Did you take your prereqs at AVC? I was really hoping to attend AVC's nursing program since it is so close to my house but I jumped at the opportunity to start at COC since AVC has such a long waiting list!!

Yeah i took all my prereqs at avc! Wow its really good to hear that someone is from here too. Hopefully we get the same class period, we can be carpool buddies!

Has anyone recieved info about Kaplan yet? This is pretty much the only thing i need now.

Nothing from Kaplan yet. Just an FYI- Providence Holy Cross is having a course on May 18th for the Fire & Safety card. It's not free- but it's cheaper than the COC course!

I spoke to someone from the nursing dept @ COC regarding Kaplan and they said that they will be sending out an email for that...so be on watch for it Btw, is anyone else from the AV? Just curious.

There is also a Fire Safety course at Children's Hospital LA on Monday May 7. $45 cash. That's the one I am going to. It is hosted by Daylan Bolden of Bolden TEC, if you wanna look it up online. I am also on waitlist for free class at Olive View on the 8th, but I'm not holding my breath for that one! Pretty much done with everything, too. Just waiting to do second TB next week...

Has anyone purchased their stethoscope yet? If so, what kind did you buy?
