CNA skill test

Dear All,

Please I need your advice on the step to take on this issue.

I just finished my CNA exam now and surprisingly the examiner said I fail but I totally disagree with the judgement.

My scenerio was feeding a resident but with 'no added salt'.

Before proceding inside, I read the instruction loud and said 'no added salt" , looked 4 the salt on the tray but none was there. I proceeded inside, did every steps and asked the resident what he will like to be put in his food; he z everything is okay but the examiner z resident wants sugar in the cofee and pepper on the food. I asked resident again and he z yes to examiner points. So I added the quantity the resident want.

After all the show, now came the result. I was shocked when the woman z I offered salt to the resident. My colleague who acted as my resident said I never offered nor gave him salt.

I told the examiner, that the only time I mentioned salt was when I was reading the instruction loud and she personally asked me to proceed when I told her no salt in the tray.

I believe she intentionally failed me cos am black and my accent is of Nigerian.

In this case, pls what do u suggest i do cos my instructor has advised i filed for grieviance. If that is the case, how long does it take to be resolved.

Thanks to u all,

Akinsussy
