CNA @ SCC

Hi all -

So since I am still waiting to get into the RN program, I have decided to enter the 5-week CNA certificate program at SCC. At least that will get my foot in the door with a hospital...?! :nurse:

I think the waiting game has caught up with me...and I just want to do something in the healthcare system...

Has anyone taken this course?

How much did you pay for a stethescope?

Does anyone have any used books?

Thanks for any advice/info!

Jenn

you made a very wise decision! on top of getting your foot in the door at a hospital, they may also pay your nursing tuition.

i did not do cna- but, i would suggest getting a good littman steth since you are continuing into RN. you can get a great one for about $100.

good luck!

Thank you 'fromthesea'.

I actually volunteer at SHC hospital now and I am hoping to possibly get a USED steth from a Doctor or nurse. I didn't realize they were so expensive!?! But hopefully a used one for $40-$50 will come my way...

oy...this is stressful

thank you for the littman suggestion...i will definitely look into it!
