CNA classes

I'll be 18 in July and was wondering if there's any age requirements for taking CNA classes and where can I take them? I live in Kentucky.

A friend of mine got her CNA certificate at 18 here in Maryland. She got it from a Technical School but our community college offers the CNA classes too. It's possible the community colleges in your area do too. Good Luck!

I don't think there's any problem with your age. There are CNA classes all the time.... some 10 day courses, night courses, weekends, etc.......... Are you near Lexington? Check out http://www.careerbuilder.com. It should list the classes. I think they post ads from Herald Leader.

I took my CNA classes while I was still in high school and I was 17 at the time. I know of two high schools in my area who offer these classes to their students.

Specializes in Med/Surge, Psych, LTC, Home Health.

Some nursing homes and hospitals which require CNA certification, actually offer the classes to become one. You could try maybe applying for positions at various nursing homes and see if they will offer the training.
